Every year around this time, I get so many inquiries about custom commissions. I know how much these special water memories mean to people, but I also know that things are especially tight for so many families right now. I wanted to find a way to give back this season by gifting one custom original painting.

I’m giving away one 12" x 16" custom original acrylic painting on gallery-wrapped canvas, based on a photo you choose. Before filling out the form below, please scroll down to read the full contest details.

A Few Ideas for Your Entry:

  • A view of your dock or a floating dock at the family lake house

  • A favorite sunset picture from vacation

  • Your family or dog or walking along the shore

  • Your dad’s boat

  • A classic car, a cozy campfire, or a blue crab on the sand

  • Your favorite beach or lake house

  • Your and your spouse paddleboarding on your honeymoon

A Few Ground Rules Before You Enter

  • My Style & Interpretation: Please take a close look at my gallery before entering! This painting will be created in my signature artistic style and interpretation. I won’t copy another artist’s work or try to mimic someone else's style.

  • Faces & Figures: Detailed portraits aren't my focus! If your photo includes people, faces will be rendered as soft suggestions rather than detailed portraits. Photos of people from behind or silhouette-style work much better for me.

  • No Revisions: Because this is a giveaway, there won't be modifications or revisions once the painting is finished. I’ll paint it to the absolute best of my ability in my style, and that final piece is what the giveaway is for!

Giveaway & Delivery Logistics

  • The Canvas: The winning piece will be painted on a 12" x 16" gallery-wrapped canvas with finished edges, ready to hang unframed.

  • Optional Framing: Framing is not included in the giveaway, but if you’d like the piece framed before receiving it, natural wood floating frames will be available to purchase as an optional add-on.

  • Pickup & Shipping: Free local pickup is available, or I am happy to ship the finished painting anywhere in the US at the winner's expense.

  • Portfolio & Usage Rights: By entering, you agree that photos of the completed artwork (and your submitted reference photo/story, unless marked secret) may be featured on my website portfolio and social media.

  • Giveaway Launches: November 1st

  • Entries Close: November 15th at 11:59 PM EST

  • Winner Announced: November 18th

  • Ready for Pickup / Shipping: December 6th (Plenty of time for holiday gifting!)
